Description
Britain is set to Skate into Summer 2008 with the return of the roller disco, thanks to Nokia
Each of the Nokia Skate Almighty events will feature an awesome DJ or band playing on an open air stage to the roller disco. There’ll be almighty acts, like Guilty Pleasures, Bodyrox, Seamus Haij, Zero 7, Alistair Whitehead and the legendary Norman Jay.
The Nokia Skate Almighty rink will be open to children and families during the day. Then after 6pm, the bar opens and it’s 18+ only.
Hosted in a spectacular rink created especially for Nokia Skate Almighty, the London event will run across the 11th, 12th and 13th July, situated in London’s South Bank, before moving to Birmingham’s Centenary Square on the 18th, 19th and 20th July. The final Nokia Skate Almighty roller disco will hit Manchester on 25th, 26th and 27th July. Get venue directions here.
So whether you just want a free one-hour skate with your family or want to bring your mates and go crazy at a kicking DJ set, Nokia Skate Almighty is a must this summer.
To get skating, just click here to get your pair of free tickets and reserve your one-hour skate time slot. Tickets will be sent to your mobile phone 24 hours before the event. Then when you arrive, you’ll just have to swipe your mobile handset to get onto the rink. Then just strap on a pair of the roller skates provided and get skating.
Nokia Skate Almighty is on for just three days in each city so you’ll need to sign up quickly so you can turn up, tune in and freak out at the summer’s most spinning gig.
